Three Doha-specific things worth knowing
First, most journeys through Doha are connections rather than a final destination. On a single through-ticket your bags are normally checked all the way to your last airport and you do not touch them in Doha; on two separate tickets you must collect and re-check them, and the second airline's allowance then applies, which can be smaller than the first.
