What you may carry out of Hamad International Airport (DOH) is set by your airline and by the fare bundle you bought, rather than by the airport itself. Most passengers here are flying Qatar Airways, where the allowance arrives as part of the bundle instead of a flat figure, while Emirates, flydubai, Turkish Airlines and Gulf Air each apply rules of their own. Three Doha-specific things worth knowing

First, whether Doha is your destination or simply your connection. Most journeys through Hamad are transfers, and on a single through-ticket your bags are checked all the way to the final airport, so you never see them here. Book two separate tickets and you have to collect them and check them in again, at which point the second airline's allowance takes over — often the smaller of the two. That difference is settled when you book, not at the desk.

Second, the Gulf carriers count kilos rather than pieces.
