Hamad International Airport (DOH) runs from one large, modern passenger terminal, with a central concourse and a series of lettered concourses reached along wide connecting walkways. A major expansion completed in 2022 added new concourses and The Orchard, an indoor tropical garden at the heart of the airside area. The building splits into a landside zone (open to anyone, with check-in, car-hire desks, ATMs and cafés) and an airside zone past security, reserved for passengers with a boarding pass, and given its size, it pays to know which side a service sits on and to allow time to walk between concourses.

Arrivals flow
Passengers landing at Doha follow a fixed sequence. After leaving the aircraft you reach immigration, then baggage claim, then the customs channel, before stepping into the public arrivals hall. Departures and transit flow
Leaving Doha works in the opposite direction: check-in or bag-drop in the departures hall, then the security screening point, then the airside area. Connecting passengers stay airside and follow the transfer signs and screens to their next gate. Beyond security you will find an extensive duty-free hall, a wide range of dining, lounges, prayer rooms, art installations and quiet rooms, plenty to fill a wait. Signage runs in Arabic and English, and staff commonly speak English. One caveat worth noting: opening hours for individual shops, restaurants and lounges shift with the flight schedule, so the airport's official channels are the place to confirm exact times close to your travel date.
